How Our
Steam BBQ Works
The burner and cooking area are separated by a water partition. When the cooker is lit, heat is forced over the partition and down through the food. This drawing action forces heat and moisture into the food, allowing for even cooking. This virtually eliminates the need to constantly turn your food as it cooks, freeing you to enjoy other aspects of your outing. Also, adding spices, vinegar, etc., to the water partition allows you to baste your food as it cooks.
Specifications
The Sikes Cooker is constructed of 5052 grade, .125” thickness aluminum alloy body with a 12,000 BTU cast iron burner. Fasteners are stainless steel. The drain valves are 1” brass ball valves and the work shelf is high density polyethylene with UV protection. There is a 1/2” NPT 3” diameter 50/500 degree reading thermometer. Also included are the LP Gas green type 1, 5 lb. pressure regulator with 18” hose, 1/4” MPTX 3/8” (f) SAE swivel and adapter and shut off valve, and battery operated spark module ignition.
